 lavender landscapes appear to my eyes
 encompassed by black holes of infinite size
 tantamount to pleasures of eons gone by
 a bright eyed child looks in awe, asks .. why?

 voyaging thru vortexes of pleasured rhymes
 finite distances, finite times
 universe spews planetary bodies with a sigh
 can you see a creator, one most high?

 careless caressess of sinister means
 hoping its disguise is as good as it seems
 larcenous hand taps you on the shoulder
 have you really grown wise, or just older?

 misery laughs at pain, comes to join it once again
 nothing mystical about your lies, you've tried them several times
 panoramic sorrow embraces lonely souls
 caring for your fellow man, you pay deadly tolls

 heartlessness, cruelty ... your friends
 the reaper looks after all it tends
 the seductions of lust, the thrill of desire
 burn your flesh, your heart like an endless pyre

 clouding the metaphors that you once held near
 conjuring the evil incubus that preys on your fear
 search deep, look hard, and take care
 the reaper is giving you a stare

 kaleidoscope companions feed you your last trip
 psychedelic sylables utter from your lip
 cosmic mysteries conceal eternal enlightenment
 get back on earth or you'll wonder where your mind went
